Commemorating the Centennial Year of  Bhagawan 

Mahārudra Yajña & Śiva Śakti Sahasra-Caṇḍi (MYSSS) 

for Universal Peace was offered under the auspices of Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, USA and graciously hosted by Shirdi Sai Mandir, Sterling, VA.

This is a monumental collective prayer of gratitude extolled the glory of the Divine Mother as creation (1000 times Caṇdī Pāṭh) and the divine source as creator (1,331 recitations of  Śri Rudram) and a tenth of the recitations offered as sacred homa. ​

More than 500 devotees spanning 10 countries participated in the main offering.

Leading up to the event, 438 devotees undertook 121 days of collective daily sādhana, offering the Rudram, Durga Sūktam, and Sarvadharma prayers, alongside a cumulative japa of 27 million Gaṇapati Mūla Mantra and 30 million Caṇḍi Navārṇa Mantra.

Another profound highlight was the completion of 100 million recitations of "Oṁ Śrī Sāyīśvarāya Namaḥ" by over 1,200 devotees across 30+ countries.

The Yajña was officiated by four priests from India assisted by two local Mandir priests.

Day 1 (Thursday, September 3): The event opened with a grand procession of Bhagawan, accompanied by Go Pūjā and Yāgaśālā Praveśam. This was followed by preliminary rituals and the Sahasramodaka Mahāgaṇapati Homam. Alongside Kalaśasthāpanam and Pūjā, over 200 devotees joined in offering the Devī Māhātmya Pārāyaṇam.

Days 2 & 3 (Friday & Saturday, September 4–5): After Aruṇa Praśna chanting, 200+ Ritwiks chanted Devī Māhātmyam during both morning and evening sessions, successfully completing the 1,000 required recitations for the Sahasra Caṇḍī. Following the morning chanting and Rudrābhiṣekam, Sampuṭita Śrī Sūktam, Durgā Sūktam, and Sāi Gāyatrī Homam were offered by 100+ Ritwiks.

Day 4 (Sunday, September 6): The Mahārudra Yajñam was offered featuring Mahānyāsa Pārāyaṇam, Ekādaśa Rudrābhiṣekam, and Japam. In the evening, Girijā Kalyāṇam was celebrated with great splendor, filling all hearts with joy.

Day 5 (Monday, September 7): The Sahasra Caṇḍī Homam was offered, featuring 100,000 Navārṇa Mantra āhutis performed by all Ritwiks and Mahāpūrṇāhuti. The sacred event concluded with Kalaśābhiṣekam and Mahāmaṅgala Ārati to Bhagawan.

Filling the hearts of all present with bliss and devotion, the event was made possible through the selfless dedication of volunteers, truly exemplifying "Love All, Serve All."
