Prayers for global peace and harmony commemorating
the Centennial Year of Advent of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

The spiritual vibrations in the sacred precints of Prasanthi Nilayam reached higher realms as thousands of devotees gathered to partake in the celestial ritual of Sahasra Lingarchana, offering their deepest reverence to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in the resplendent form of Sayeeshwara. Over 120,000 Lingams, meticulously moulded from sacred clay sourced from 35 countries, were placed in reverence. The 108 tables, representing 108 names from Sri Sathya Sai Ashtottaram bore 1,116 Lingams (symbolizing the manifold aspects of Lord Shiva) with devotees from over 38 countries. At the center of each setup, a divinely crafted image of Swami, formed using beautifully colored Lingams, stood out, His orange robe and lustrous hair depicted in striking clarity. A total of 1,728 participants, seated in groups of 16 per table, carried out the puja in perfect harmony. The air vibrated with divine energy as each participant engaged in the sacred process, offering flowers, fruits, sacred rice grains, camphor, vibhuti, kumkum, and chandan, in adherence to the meticulously provided guidelines. The evening was indeed a celestial symphony of unwavering faith, and a monumental expression of divine love.

The sacred Sahasra Lingarchana program culminated in a deeply spiritual manner, leaving an indelible imprint on the hearts of all devotees who participated in this divine sadhana. The final day of the program witnessed an awe-inspiring procession where devotees, in a disciplined and reverent manner, carried the sacred Lingams on their heads while chanting Vedic hymns and singing bhajans. As the golden rays of the rising sun bathed the surroundings in divine warmth and birds chirped in harmony with the bhajans, the sacred procession commenced its journey from the Gopuram Gate. With devotion-filled hearts and uplifted spirits, the devotees marched towards the holy Shivalayam, the sacred birthplace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Upon reaching the Shivalayam, prayers were fervently offered, invoking the grace of Lord Shiva. TThe divine vibrations of the rituals enveloped the sacred space, elevating the spiritual fervor of the gathering. Following the completion of these sanctified offerings, the devotees, in their continued spirit of devotion, circumambulated the holy shrine, further deepening their connection with the divine. The procession then proceeded back to the Chitravati Arati Ghat, the revered banks where Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba once walked and blessed devotees. It was here that the concluding rituals were performed with profound devotion. The event reached its pinnacle with the offering of Mangala Arati to Bhagawan, marking the conclusion of the Aṣṭottara Śatasahasra Sāyīśvara Lingarchana with divine blessings showered upon all.
