CHARM 2025 - Ujjain
By Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s loving grace, the Chandi Sahita Atirudra Mahayajna (CHARM 2025) successfully offered from Feb 1 to Feb 9, 2025 at the sacred Prashanti Dham Ashram on the banks of holy Kshipra River.
There are 12 Jyotirliṇga (Śiva) and 18 Śakti Pīṭha, places of concentrated energies, in India. Of these, Ujjain is one of the only three places in the universe that has both a Jyotirliṇga (Mahākāl) and a Śakti Pīṭham (Mahākāli). The other two are Kāśi and Śrīśailaṃ.
Before Greenwich’s establishment in 1884, Ujjain was the central meridian for time in India, influencing Hindu almanac calculations. Year 2025 is the Centennial Year of the Advent of the Avatār, a crucial milestone in time in our lives. To be present in the Prashanti Dham, next to the Kṣipra river and be part of a Yajña offering, is beyond belief of a spiritual experience!!!
It marked an unprecedented participation of devotees from all across the globe with largest participation of 250 Ritwiks doing the homa. The yajnaśala was simply spectacular and the homa kunda were the largest of any of the yajna we offered conducted so far. In addition to the 250+ Ritwiks, there were at least 500 devotees that participated and offered Abhishekam to both Mahakal, Omkareswara, and Bhagawan Baba. Bhagawan had materialzed a 9-inch Narmada Bana lingam for this event.
Sri Sathya Seva Organization of Madhya Pradesh played a pivotal role in the Yajna. More than 60 sevadal stayed in the Ashram and helped with food and site maintenance. Narayana seva and medical camps were conducted outside of the Ashram.
Another highlight of the yajna was Sri Sreenivas Kalyanam. On that night, there was massive materialization of vbhuti on the Sakti Kalasam of the altar. Bhagwan's immense presence was felt also during the Chandi Homa.
The offering also included daily cultural programs by Balvikas, Ladies wing, eminent artists. Whether it is in the site operations or material management or food arrangements or accommodations or transportation or caring for the Priests, kitchen management, audio, video and streaming arrangements several volunteers were the backbone of this humongous undertaking. Many volunteers have put in many days of hard work for several months prior to event. The weather in Ujjain was simply perfect and the environment of the Ashram was amazingly surreal make it a grand success. Special thanks are due to the Prashanti Dham management for their unconditional support and living the message of Saidas Maharaj, whose life mission was to bring unity amongst Shirdi Sai and Sathya Sai devotees.
